Leaves on a pavement

My first-time freeform beadwork :) It took me almost a year to finish it, starting with an idea of peyote leaves.

Big reveal!

Today is the day of the Bead Soup Blog Party!

Many thanks to our wonderful hostess, Lori Anderson! She's doing a huge job to organize everything so everyone could enjoy new beads, new meetings and new ideas.

This time my partner was Stacey Curry. She makes very stylish things - just visit her blog and look what she did!

I must say I was afraid my beads will arrive late (due to mailing troubles), but they've f
inally came! Stacey was very generous - just look what I've received from her:

Aah, the chain and findings from Vintaj... And wonderful glass pendant and beads too! Love these autumn colors!

I wanted to make a piece in which all of fall hues wouldn't get lost. I added a beaded toggle to match the shiny black of the pendant :) You may find the pattern in Diane Fitzgerald's "Shaped Beadwork".

Actually, I've made two necklaces, the second one with a lampworked owl made by Olga Ostapenko.

These treasures are enough to make more, and I'm really thankful to Stacey. It was pleasure to work with beautiful beads and findings while making my neckpieces. I'll surely wear them myself)) It was fun! Thank you, Stacey!

Long time, no see)

I suppose someone might think I only blog about giveaways. Not really)))
The matter is, it takes a while for me to make photos, and to convert them. Lazy me(

So, here is a couple of new things:

A crocheted piece with a BB based on Lynn Davy's tutorial.

Кое-что новенькое:
С чашкой - вязаный жгут+еще одна бусина по уроку Линн Дэви http://www.nemeton.etsy.com/

And this one is a TOHO flower in lilac and violet tones.
Схема для цветка была опубликована в Perlen Poesie, но я плела лепестки немного другим способом - от середины.

Andrew Thornton's cool giveaway

Here are the real treasures:
Andrew Thornton generously offers those totally awesome pendants, made from bronze copper and porcelain with silver coating. Don't miss your chance to win!

Posting about a giveaway

Carol Dean Sharpe (Sand Fibers), is celebrating her 5 year Etsy anniversary! She's also holding a great giveaway, where one may win a gift certificate and buy some of her beautiful patterns and kits. As for me, I'm really amazed at the clear lines and cool colourplay in her designs. They're stunners!

Bead beauty!

Джоанна, мой партнер по Bead Soup Party, прислала мне очень симпатичных бусинок собственного изготовления (большую делала ее подруга Труди). Думаю просочетать это с гранатами и греческими керамическими спейсерами, если получится :)

Look what I received from Johanna, my Bead Soup Party partner! Aren't they lovely? I suppose that berry-coloured focal will look good with some garnets. (The clasp and black beads are Johanna's creations, and the focal bead was made by Trudi of www.glitteringprize.co.uk .)
Thank you Jo and Trudy!
