Welcome to the 3rd Bead Soup Blog Party!

What is a Bead Soup Blog Party?

Each beader was paired up with another jewelry designer and tasked with sending the following:

~ A focal
~ A special clasp (not just a lobster claw)
~ Some coordinating spacers or beads
Using the focal and the clasp was mandatory, but we could use anything from our own stash to round out the rest, and choose to use the coordinating beads or not.

(You may see my bead soup in the previous blogpost.)
My Bead Soup Party partner, Johanna, sent me a lovely set of beads and a handmade clasp. I added some silver-plated cones from JBB, garnets, crocheted tube with delica seed beads, Greek ceramic metal plated beads and mother-of-pearl rings.

Here's what I made!

It was a great experience in jewelry-making, and the combining of colors really made me think hard :)
I'm very appreciated to Lori Anderson, our party organizer and inspirer! Thank you!

  5. Oh, such a sleek and beautiful design. There's something decidedly masculine about this, and I think that's what I like most. Not many people can pull that off like this. I look at it and can imagine a merprince at the helm of a chariot pulled by capricorns, you know? It's got such a glorious presence and sleekness. Very beautiful design; I love it. Very inspiring work. :)
